The name of the judge was Deborah Servitto, and this is the actual court ruling.

Mr. Bailey complains that his rep is trash
So he’s seeking compensation in the form of cash.
Bailey thinks he’s entitled to some monetary gain
Because Eminem used his name in vain.
Eminem says Bailey used to throw him around
Beat him up in the john, shoved his face in the ground.
Eminem contends that his rap is protected
By the rights guaranteed by the First Amendment.
Eminem maintains that the story is true
And that Bailey beat him black and blue.
In the alternative he states that the story is phony
And a reasonable person would think it’s baloney.
The court must always balance the rights
Of a defendant and one placed in a false light.
If the plaintiff presents no question of fact
To dismiss is the only acceptable act.
If the language used is anything but pleasin’
It must be highly objectionable to a person of reason.
Even if objectionable and causing offense
Self-help is the first line of defense.
Yet when Bailey actually spoke to the press
What do you think he didn’t address?
Those false-light charges that so disturbed
Prompted from Bailey not a single word.
So highly objectionable, it could not be
Bailey was happy to hear his name on a CD.
Bailey also admitted he was a bully in youth
Which makes what Marshall said substantial truth.
This doctrine is a defense well known
And renders Bailey’s case substantially blown.
The lyrics are stories no one would take as fact
They’re an exaggeration of a childish act.
Any reasonable person could clearly see
That the lyrics could only be hyperbole.
It is therefore this court’s ultimate position
That Eminem is entitled to summary disposition.

at this point, i think marvel owes us a scene in the next avengers movie where natasha is like wHERE WERE ALL OF YOU?

"it was serious, clint"
"yeah but i had a thing"
"PEOPLE DIED, CLINT.”

in an alternate scenario: clint is like “WELL YEAH I WAS BUSY. DID YOU HEAR ABOUT ALL OF EURASIA GETTING WIPED OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH” “…no?” “YEAH. YOU’RE WELCOME FOR THAT.”

Basically I want Clint to be like this

The second time God
sucker punched
my parents,
they put ice on the bruise
and called it “Rudy.”

When you are born
during an argument,
you spend the rest of your life
feeling like an interruption.

Your name becomes a sweater
you borrowed without asking.
You say it like the real owner
is coming to take it back.

To this day,
I still stutter
while introducing
myself.

By Rudy Francisco, “Stutter” (via fuckyeahrudyfrancisco)

Envy is when someone walks around with a pocket full of “That should’ve been me”.

Insecurity is when you turn up the volume on all the wrong voices.

Hate is what happens when you put a shotgun to the face of understanding and it cowers in the corner.

Courage is ripping your heart from your chest and saying “Here, hold on to this for me”.

Truth is everything you tell yourself when you realize you are the only one still paying attention.

Self is whoever you become when the door is locked.

Trust is jumping into someone’s arms and knowing you won’t have to pick yourself up when it’s over.

Love is a tablespoon full of hemlock that I’ve been dying to try.

Faith is doing what you love and watching the bills pay themselves.

Failure is when you talk yourself out of becoming something amazing.

Victory is standing in front of the school bully with no intention to back down and a fist full of irony.

Success is explaining to your mother exactly what you do for a living without feeling ashamed. It’s falling asleep at 2 A.M., waking up at 4 A.M. and going to work with excitement stitched into the fabric of your smile.

Success is a thank you letter from a kid who lives in a city that you’ve never even been to. It’s breaking up a fight between a person and everything that’s telling them they will never be more than what they are.

When I was fourteen, my friend Adam stole a dictionary from his English class. He brought it home and we set it on fire.

Since then, I’ve been defining things for myself.
